Transmission gear ratio for Piaggio mopeds / mopeds with variomatic transmission (Ciao, Si, Bravo, Boxer, Grillo).
This transmission is longer than the original Piaggio gear ratios fitted in Switzerland.
The longer gear ratio ensures more top speed, but less acceleration.
Note that the ratio changes further depending on the size of the rim (17" spoke rims more speed / 16" cast rims more traction).

In order to further optimize the transmission ratio, other torque converter pulleys can be installed. You can find these and alternative gearbox pulleys in the accessories section.
