The heat-protective tape reduces the temperature emitted by the exhaust system. This causes the exhaust gases themselves to become hotter, resulting in faster exhaust flow and lower pressure in the muffler. Additionally, other components such as the cylinder and carburetor are better protected from the exhaust’s waste heat.
The fiberglass material offers excellent thermal properties and high flexibility, which is advantageous when wrapping the manifold and exhaust.

Installation tip: Soak the entire tape in water beforehand. Alternatively, or in addition to the stainless steel cable ties, you can also wrap the entire area covered by the tape with wire.
Note: Due to the glass fiber content, it is strongly recommended that you wear gloves during installation.
