Special input shaft to convert your Piaggio Ciao, SI, Bravo, Boxer, Grillo moped / moped with mono gearbox to a variomatic gearbox.
The converter shaft is used instead of the pully shaft. The longer spacer sleeve and flange nut are used for the variator at the front so that the V-belt is aligned with the rear converter.
Please note:
- The gearbox must be designed for two sprockets (with raised bearing seat for the input shaft), see Figure 3 (not included in the scope of delivery).
- A transmission ratio of 6.73 / 1 (code 2 // 990505 (12B/12C)), with an 11 tooth input shaft and large gear with 74 teeth.
- This above mentioned gear ratio was not installed in Switzerland by default, so check your gearbox before buying the shaft or order the matching gear from the accessories below.
- The gear ratio of 6.73 is very long. A powerful engine is required to be able to extend the transmission.
- Since the torque converter and the vario are mounted a little further out, adjustments to the side shift may be necessary.
