Shaft repair sleeve which can be used on worn, scratched or run-in areas such as the crankshaft or pinion shaft.
If a shaft is heavily worn or scratched and can therefore no longer be properly sealed by the oil seal, this Speedi-Sleeve repair sleeve is used.
The 0.2 mm thick chrome steel sleeve is pressed over the shaft using the tool supplied.
Because the shaft is only applied a little, an oil seal with the original dimensions can still be used.

Installation instructions:
- Before installation, mount the crankshaft bearing on the shaft if necessary, as this can no longer be pressed over the shaft later.
- Clean the seal sliding surface on the shaft. Remove any unevenness with an abrasive cloth; the sleeve must not be positioned over keyways, holes, threads or other recesses
- Determine the installation position of the repair sleeve on the worn seal sliding surface and mark it precisely. The sleeve must completely cover the damaged area.
- Drive the repair sleeve onto the shaft with light, centric strokes against the impact cap. If the impact cap is too short, a piece of pipe can be used instead. The inside diameter should correspond to that of the impact cap. Make sure that the functional surface of the sleeve is not damaged.
- Do not use any heat during assembly, the use of adhesive is not necessary.
- In the case of large grooves or notches, the sleeve can be pressed on together with some permanently elastic sealing compound.
- If necessary, the flange can be removed by slitting the outer part and using needle-nose pliers.
- Then check everything again for damage and any burrs.
