NGK BR9HIX Iridium spark plug with short thread, designed to reduce interference, suitable for various mopeds and small motorcycles.

Iridium spark plugs feature an iridium alloy tip on the center electrode. The precious metal iridium does not melt until 2,450 °C and is therefore highly resistant to spark erosion. The service life of these spark plugs is twice as long as that of conventional spark plugs. The 0.6 mm-thin center electrode significantly reduces the ignition voltage required and contributes to improved flame front propagation in the combustion chamber.
Note: For official vehicle inspection (MFK) approval, the ignition system must include a noise-suppressed component. This spark plug is noise-suppressed and can therefore be used on public roads in combination with a non-noise-suppressed spark plug connector.
