For the economical repair of damaged or worn threads (of all materials) and as a structural element for thread reinforcement when using materials with low shear strength (e.g. aluminum, aluminum-magnesium alloys). The use of wear-free HeliCoil thread inserts not only repairs the thread, but also increases the thread load-bearing capacity.
Execution:
High-strength, free-running HeliCoil®plus thread inserts made of stainless steel with high wear resistance, low thread friction in tight tolerances, high surface quality as well as corrosion and heat resistance. The flexible design enables uniform load and stress distribution and thus produces durable screw connections of the highest quality for all operating loads (static, dynamic) with ideal force transmission. Uncomplicated, quick assembly, the result is an internal thread that can be used on both sides.
Complete repair kit for M14x1.25 thread sizes in a plastic case.
Application:
1. Check the tap and threaded bolt.
2. cut the holding thread with the special HeliCoil tap. The tap has two offsets, so nothing needs to be pre-drilled and the defective thread can be cut directly.
4. Turn the thread insert into the mounting thread using the installation tool.
5. Remove the tang with a punch.
