Plastic expanding rivets are the all-purpose weapons for every screwdriver's workshop. So easy to handle that even a coffee cup will be jealous. Their weight is so low that they could serve as a fitness trainer for screws, and their corrosion resistance is the nightmare of every rust spot. These things are not only fastening geniuses, but also vibration gurus.
Plastic rivets can be used, for example, to mount cladding or to fasten housing parts of electronic devices. They cannot replace the function of blind rivets made of aluminum or stainless steel.
Application note: Drill a 6 mm hole, press in the rivet and push the pin in until it is firmly seated.
